It was a cool autumn night. Nathan had just entered his home after spending over an hour on the Baltimore/Washington Parkway coming from work. The year was 2019, and the mobile app Hinge was growing in popularity as a dating app.

Nathan, a single man at the time, decided to log into the app and mindlessly browse as he settled down for the day. He haphazardly swiped through for a while, then suddenly he froze. He had come across a profile unlike any other he had seen before. The woman on the profile was beyond stunning. She was quite literally the most beautiful woman he had seen in his life.

Nathan wrestled back and forth for what seemed like an eternity over what he should message her, but nothing seemed right. Eventually he decided to just speak from the heart and tell her the truth. “Hey Tiffany,” he wrote. “Viewing your profile made my day.” He pressed send, and then went to bed, expecting to never hear from her again.

Not long after, Nathan was awakened from his sleep. It was an alert on his phone. But not just any alert. A hinge message. From Tiffany. The message read “Awww. Thanks!” And the rest is history.
